Before you buy

Token snipers.

A sniper is a bot or a trader that buys a coin in its first blocks, before most people know it exists, to sell to the people who come after.

What counts as a sniper.

A wallet whose first coins came from a buy in the first blocks after the launch block. Not the creator, and not a wallet already in the bundle: those are counted on their own. As with bundles, a wallet that gets coins from a sniper by transfer is counted with the snipers.

how much of the supply the snipers got early

what those same wallets hold today

Why it matters.

Snipers buy at the lowest price there will be. A coin they still hold a big share of has a lot of supply waiting to be sold into the next buyers. One they have sold out of has already had that selling.

Data, not advice. No snipers is not a reason to buy. It tells you who got in first, nothing more.

Keep them out of Explore.

Turn on Snipers out in Explore: only coins whose snipers hold 5% or less now. With a strict filter on, a coin we didn’t count from its launch never passes.

Common questions.

Is a sniper the same as a bundle?
No. A bundle got coins in the launch itself or bought as a cluster; a sniper bought on its own in the first blocks. We count each wallet once.
Am I a sniper if I bought early?
Only if your first buy was in those first blocks. Buying in the first hour is not sniping.
Where do these numbers come from?
The chain: every transfer since launch, read by our own index, for coins launched since 14 Oct. An older coin says its launch wasn’t counted.
