I’m new

Two kinds of route, both listed on Robinhood’s own bridging page: the native bridge from Ethereum, or a partner route from other chains.

In 30 seconds

- Fastest: a partner route, in seconds. Uprally’s Get ETH uses Relay.
- Native: the Arbitrum canonical bridge from Ethereum, about 10 minutes in.
- Coming back the native way takes about 7 days, then a claim on Ethereum.

## Pick a route.

| Route | What it is | Time |
| --- | --- | --- |
| **Arbitrum canonical bridge (native)**[portal.arbitrum.io](https://portal.arbitrum.io/bridge?destinationChain=robinhood-chain&sourceChain=ethereum) | Trustless, Ethereum ↔ Robinhood Chain | Deposit ~10 min · withdrawal ~7 days |
| **Relay**[relay.link](https://relay.link/bridge/robinhood) | Intents-based bridge | Seconds |
| **Across**[across.to](https://across.to/?to=robinhood) | Intents-based bridge | Seconds |
| **Stargate (LayerZero)**[stargate.finance](https://stargate.finance/) | Omnichain token (OFT) transfer | Minutes |
| **Transporter (Chainlink CCIP)**[app.transporter.io](https://app.transporter.io/?to=robinhood&tab=token) | Messaging and token transfer | Minutes |
| **LiFi / 0x**[li.fi · 0x.org](https://li.fi/) | Cross-chain swap aggregators | Seconds to minutes |

As listed on docs.robinhood.com/chain/bridging. Partner times vary with the chain you leave from.

## The native bridge, step by step.

1. 1Deposit from Ethereum
Open the Arbitrum bridge with Robinhood Chain as the destination and Ethereum as the source. Deposits typically confirm within 10 minutes.
2. 2If the Robinhood Chain step fails
The funds are not lost: for example when the deposit ran short of gas on Robinhood Chain. Redeem it by hand from the bridge within 7 days.
3. 3Withdrawing back to Ethereum
Wait out the 7-day challenge period, then claim on Ethereum with a transaction of your own. That last step is required and costs Ethereum gas.

**A bridged token has a new address.**A token moved over the native bridge has a different contract address on Robinhood Chain than on Ethereum. Robinhood’s docs say to look it up with calculateL2TokenAddress on the L2 Gateway Router, whose address is on its [Protocol Contracts](https://docs.robinhood.com/chain/protocol-contracts) page. Never use the Ethereum address.

## The fastest way in: Get ETH on Uprally.

Your account menu, then Get ETH. It uses Relay to bring ETH from Base, Arbitrum or Ethereum in seconds. We add 0.25%, shown with the network cost before you sign; Relay moves it wallet to wallet, and we never hold it. From an exchange, withdraw ETH on Base or Arbitrum: [get ETH onto Robinhood Chain](https://uprally.co/docs/get-eth).

## Common questions.

**Which route is safest?**

Robinhood calls the Arbitrum canonical bridge trustless; it is also the slowest out. The partners are faster and each is its own service. Robinhood lists them all and names none official.

**How long does it take?**

Partners: seconds to minutes. Native: about 10 minutes in, about 7 days out plus a claim on Ethereum.

**Do I need ETH on Robinhood Chain?**

Yes. Its currency is ETH, and every transaction there pays its gas in it. Bring a little more than you plan to spend.
